Sophie

Larry and LC adopted Sophie, a bearded collie mix, in February, 2002.

She was found wandering in downtown Albuquerque, unspayed, with several mammary tumors. The woman who rescued Sophie paid for the surgery to excise the tumors and have Sophie spayed and vaccinated. The Whittles paid to have Sophie's broke and blackened teeth fixed.

She was also missing all the hair on her tail and nose. It's grown in nicely in both places.

Sophie is very sweet-natured, but because of her abuse/neglect history, she needs to be very close to her humans. She likes cats, and plays with all of the Whittle family felines. No one knows how old she is, but she's born at least 2 litters.

Sopie passed away in August 2002, having been defeated by cancer. She was a great, sweet girl, and I miss her very much.
