Lizzie gets brushed out. Malamutes have extremely dense undercoats, to protect them from snow, and they need regular, almost daily brushing with an undercoat comb. Other than that, Lizzie never needs a bath. She's almost as clean as a cat. Keep her nails trim and teeth clean and she's good to go.
September 2002 - Sophie was put to sleep last month. I am just getting to the point where I can say this out loud without wanted to wail in grief. I miss her very much.

Lizzie is an Alaskan Malamute we rescued in September 2000. She is shy and submissive, usually, although she can be very aggressive and protective against dogs she does not know.

Megan
was a bearded collie mix we adopted in 1994. She passed away in August
2000, of Cushing's Disease. She was a great companion, with a sweet disposition.
We miss her still
