| June 2002 - Larry and I demolish this bathroom. It takes a month. We also remove the closet to the bedroom that back this shower, and the linen closet on the other side of it. | |
|
In the meantime,
we special-order all the plumbing fixtures (Kohler, the style is called
Revival, and the finish is satin or brushed nickel), the bathtub, the
linen closets, the vessel sink, and the table the vessel sink will sit
on.
|
|
| Larry has installed all of the electrical outlets, and the lighting fixtures and switches gang boxes. The wall are framed out, and we dryfit the tub and the shower pan. | |
| Larry has installed the pocket door, and almost all the plumbing is roughed in. | |
| The insulation is in, the sheet rock is on (mostly). Now begins the midding and taping and sanding. The ceiling will be done first, and then the floor will be tiled, but only after the sheet rock is fully prepped. | |
| Time for tile. First: the floor. | |
| Now, tiling around the tub. | |
| Continuing on the walls ... | |
| More on the walls ... | |
| Toilet and sink is in! | |
| Paint .... lights .... grab bars ... the color is terracotta, but Larry swears it's orange ... | |
| Finishing touches ... but it isn't done yet. Getting closer to finished. | |
